Bay Rodders Latest News Stragglers The Stragglers run began with a coffee at the Tauriko Gas Station, then heading into heavy rain over the Kaimai’s, of course Craig Prujean and Gibbo had the top down and thought the rain wasn’t getting in till he turned on the wipers! They both got soaked so they turned them off but couldn't see the road, the rain slowed then stopped coming down the Waikato side, they put up the side windows, that worked. We all turned up in the Bay Rodders style, and parked up. We were hungry so we climbed the hill to the old Church cafe and 20 or so all ordered brunch, it took a bit too long for some but most got fed. The
rest of the day was walking and looking at all sorts of cars, a great
turnout for the weather. On the way home we all stopped off at the Big
Cow for a drink. A great day had by all. Photos and write up by "Lil Kim" Bay Rodders Editor Stragglers Admittedly we were only at Stragglers for a couple of hours (just trying to fit every car event in this time of year), so I don't have a lot of photo's or much of a write up, and we had been at Powercruise since Friday, but we ditched our Sunday pass to race from Taupo with members of the American Muscle Car Club to Cambridge to catch with our Bay Rodder friends and the Stragglers and it was well worth the effort. Stragglers what an awesome effort guys give yourselves a big pat on the back, I was impressed! Kudos to the Stragglers from running such a fine event with a gorgeous setting complete with ponds, ducks, boats, trees etc, and a huge turnout of absolutely beautiful cars, grouse entertainment for the kids and for making our "No Nuts Lynne" hair so gorgeous, there was entertainment for kids big and small and all for a good cause - well done! Then with the help of "Gibbo" our founding member - whom I swear knows the shortcut/back road to every pub in New Zealand the Bay Rodders found themselves at the Te Poi Country Pub, where I was encouraged to take a few more shots, of members leaving the pub, but for legal reasons I can't show any of them ha ha ....
