Bay Rodders Latest News Tauranga Toy Run
Last night was the annual
Tauranga Toy Run with car The cruise as always was very well organised by Sarah Ellis and Jill de Buisson and so much fun. Cars gathered at Bay Park at 6pm and willingly handing over toys, presents, and gold coins to the event helpers in their Santa hats. The event raises money for the Waipuna Hospice and collects the toys for the Child Cancer Foundation in Tauranga. There was an awesome turnout of hotrods, street machines, class cars, muscle cars and vintage cars all out despite the threat of rain to support this worthy cause. I'm not how many cars in total were there in the end, but I counted about 150. Well the rain didn't eventuate which was great as we cruised the circuit through Papamoa, the Mount and Tauranga, finally gathering at World's End in Fraser Cove. Thanks to Cam and team for your excellent service as hundreds of car enthusiasts and just as many members of the public swamped Fraser Cove for something to eat, drink and an awesome night catching up with friends. See you all on the Toy Run next year! Cathi Wayne McClure Photos "Lil Kim" Photos
